Sydney, Australia – The Assyrian National Council of Australia Inc. (ANCA) is proud to announce the re-branding of its iconic Assyrian New Year Festival of Sydney as part of its 21-year milestone celebration that will take place on Sunday, 30 March 2025. The comprehensive re-brand includes a new brandmark, a revamped website, and an overhaul of the festival's social media presence, designed to reflect the evolving identity of the Assyrian community while honouring its rich cultural heritage.

For two decades, the Assyrian New Year Festival has brought together thousands of people to celebrate the arrival of Kha b'Nisan, marking the Assyrian New Year. As one of the most significant cultural events in the Assyrian calendar, the festival is known for its vibrant display of music, dance, food, traditional attire, and our spectacular fireworks display that lights up the Fairfield City night sky.

The decision to re-brand came after careful reflection on the festival’s growth and its increasing role in fostering unity among the Assyrian diaspora. The new brandmark, which was unveiled today, encapsulates the essence of Assyrian history while embracing a modern aesthetic.

The Assyrian New Year Festival will take place in Fairfield Showground on Sunday, 30 March 2025 at 10:00 AM, featuring a wide range of activities, performances, and community programs that highlight Assyrian customs, traditions, and the arts.
